  1. When it has come to 2019, human trafficking is still one of the major crime in the United States. The concept of slavery has long been abandoned by the modern society. However, the criminal group could still perform such crime without the notice of the majority of the society, which is unacceptable. We should feel grateful to Savannah Parvu as she could stand out in front of the public to tell us about how brutal is the reality. It was so disheartening to read the part that the nurse and the hotel staff turn a blind eye on human trafficking when they are potentially the reporting group that could help the police. That is like cowardice to me, making no sense. How could someone fall into sleep nicely when they know there is someone endanger under their noses. I just cannot understand that. Also, has anyone noticed that drug abuse is also a huge cause to many other crimes? Just like Savannah Parvu’s parents, they sold Savannah Parvu for money to get drug. I guess most of us here just underestimated the power of drug. There are way too many crimes are driven by drugs. I’m glad that USA TODAY has published this article to raise our awareness of human trafficking. Every citizen has the duty to protect our fellas in the community. There is no reason for us to tolerate human trafficking going on in one of the freest countries on the Earth. I believe there are many parents are reading this news. I wouldn’t think any of you would like to have your children experience this, right?

This could be a controversial topic tho. Would it be more efficient to fund other resource to protect our people other than building a wall? To be honest, I do not know much about building the wall. And there is a big question regarding this. What is the major ethnicity of the crime group? If they are mostly from Latin America, building a wall could be a good way to prevent human trafficking. But how could we possibly stop the cases that is already happening inside the United States? If we go a little further, what if the majority of them are the US citizen? That would make no sense to waste all the money to build an unnecessary wall to prevent such an irrelevant crime from Latin American. I think a good way to prevent human trafficking from happening could be investing in the promotion to tell our people how to protect themselves from human trafficking. Many of the victims have the chance to save themselves but they are just too afraid to do that or they don’t even know what to do.
